Beyond Earth Day: Community Action for Nature

In April 2025, we celebrated the annual Earth Day event on April 22nd. We also hosted an important workshop discussing the importance of taking care of conservationists and environmentalists who may feel they’re carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Looking forward to May, there are many opportunities this month to get involved in Community Days – a chance to experience what it’s like to be a conservation volunteer.

And, throughout the year, you can make a positive impact for the planet – through activities like conservation volunteering, as well as everyday actions for nature and sustainability at home. We’re so proud of our community of nature stewards who take action for nature every day.

Earth Day 2025: CVA Volunteers Take Action for Nature

Earth Day 2025 was celebrated around the world on April 22nd, with millions of people taking part in beach clean-up events, planting trees, and environmental awareness campaigns.

We’d like to thank all our amazing CVA volunteers for taking action for nature in celebration of Earth Day.

We’re also proud that so many of our volunteers choose to extend their actions for nature throughout the year – attending our on-the-ground conservation volunteering events and workshops, planting Nature Blocks, and taking part in our SeaToSource Plastic Waste Challenge. Collectively, CVA supporters contribute significantly towards creating a better Earth.

Get Involved in Protecting Australia’s Biodiversity

There are many simple ways that you can protect and support Australia’s rich biodiversity.

Start by inviting your friends and family to download the CVA App and get involved with our conservation volunteering activities.

From planting native trees, restoring wetlands, saving threatened wildlife, and cleaning up beaches – CVA volunteers are involved in loads of fun and meaningful conservation activities.

Helping People Navigate the Challenges of Conservation Work

Even conservationists need help navigating the challenges associated with conservation work.

Jessie Panazzolo, founder of Lonely Conservationists, recently hosted a workshop for CVA volunteers to help ensure that people looking after nature are also taken care of.

Jessie is raising awareness about the importance of making sure that conservationists and environmentalists are looked after, as it can oftentimes feel daunting to want to save the world.
