Techno-stress Solution: Connect with Nature!

If you’re struggling with burnout and mental fatigue caused by endless scrolling on digital devices and what’s being referred to as “techno-stress”, you’re not alone.

Being connected to devices all day long can take its toll.

If you’re feeling mentally foggy, distracted, or emotionally drained, you may be experiencing cognitive fatigue or what’s called ‘techno-stress’. In a world where we’re more connected than ever, our brains are crying out for a reset.

But, there is a solution: connection with nature.

This is something that was discussed in our latest CVA podcast episode with expert speakers, Dr Jenny Brockis, Kit Kline, and Mark Koolmatrie.

What does it mean to be Nature Positive?

Nations around the world have committed to halting and reversing the loss of nature by 2030. This ambitious target, as outlined in the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, requires accelerated action and multi-sector, global collaboration.

Find out more about how Conservation Volunteers Australia is taking action for nature and how you can get involved in being a nature steward.

What does reconciliation really mean?

This month we celebrated Reconciliation Week in Australia, under the theme ‘Bridging Now to Next’.

Reconciliation calls on us all to walk together – guided by the lessons of the past, grounded in the realities of the present, and united in our vision for a more just future.

To celebrate the spirit of reconciliation, we’ve chosen to highlight some people, organisations, and initiatives that foster reconciliation in Australia.

Read our blog about reconciliation to learn more about:

  • Kitana Mansell, proud Palawa woman and leader of Tasmania’s only Aboriginal-owned food business, palawa kipli
  • Mark Koolmatrie, Ngarrindjeri Elder and founder of Kool Tours
  • CVA’s Artwork for Reconciliation initiative
