Announcing the winners of the Chevron Nature in Focus Photography Competition

‘The Great Egret Dance’ by Libby W, Adult SLR Winner (Oceans, Wetlands and Rivers).

We are excited to announce the winners of the inaugural Chevron Nature in Focus Photography Competition. This year’s competition showcased an incredible display of talent and creativity from participants across Australia, and we are thrilled to recognise the amazing contributions that highlight our country’s unique biodiversity and the importance of conservation.

With stunning entries from adults, juniors, professionals, and amateurs across multiple categories, the competition highlighted the incredible diversity of Australia’s natural environments, including lush wetlands and coastal ecosystems and the unique species inhabiting our forests, deserts, rivers, and oceans.

‘Duckling on a lake’ by James D, 1st place – Year 7-12 (Species and Habitats).

Each photograph captured the spirit of conservation and sustainability, illustrating the vital importance of preserving our natural habitats and the incredible biodiversity they support. From native wildlife to traditional practices promoting sustainability, the entries reflect the deep connection that Australians have with nature.

‘Plant trees and save the earth’ by Kaveendra G, Adult Smartphone Winner (Sustainability).

Thanks to the winners and entrants for showcasing the beauty of Australia’s ecosystems. Your work inspires us all to take action for nature and create a sustainable future for generations to come.
