CVA makes a difference for the environment and communities through CSR & Social License Partnerships

The annual CVA World Environment Day Planting Challenge is our largest in-person corporate planting event that brings businesses from across the country together to help restore and protect our environment.

Part of our annual Corporate Challenge Series, this event will take place on Friday 3rd June to celebrate World Environment Day, encouraging global support for environmental protection in the UN Decade on Restoration.

This challenge contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 – Good Health & Wellbeing, 13 – Climate Change, 15 – Life On Land and 17 – Partnerships For The Goals.

Corporate teams of up to 10 participants will work together to plant as many plants as possible, on the same day across the country, and attempt to beat our 2021 achievement of 6,465 natives planted across Australia. As each event site is unique, a variety of different flora specific to each site location will be planted.

As a national event, the challenge will take place at the same time across the country in each time zone. Please note that places will be filled on a first in, first served basis and due to demand and capacity limitations, each corporate organisation will only be allowed to enter 1 team per location. There will be a $3,000 +GST registration fee per team for those wishing to participate.

Event Requirements

Cancellation Policy

The Corporate Challenge Series are COVID safe events, and we will do our best to ensure that these events take place as scheduled. However, due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic unfortunately we can’t guarantee that every event will go ahead. If we must make the difficult decision to cancel an event due to COVID-19, each team will be notified and CVA will endeavour to reallocate your team’s participation to another similar event, if one is available.

If participation cannot be reallocated to a similar event within a reasonable timeframe, the registration cost will be converted into a donation to support CVA as a charity and the hard work and planning that went into creating the best experience possible for our corporate volunteers.

We appreciate your support and understanding.

The Winners

There will be a winning team in each challenge location and the winners will receive a prize and participation certificate to acknowledge their achievement.

An overall National winner for the challenge will be announced after the event and they will receive the 2022 CVA World Environment Day Planting Challenge trophy, made by Wathaurong Glass.
