Would you like to expand your horizons and volunteer overseas? Opportunities are now open in our California Conservation Corps Volunteer Exchange Program in 2020. Participants will travel to California and take part in environmental volunteering with the California Conservation Corps.
The California Conservation Corps is a state agency that puts together young people and the environment, to the benefit of both. Corps members – young men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 (29 for Veterans) – sign up for a year working outdoors to improve California’s natural resources.
Our California Exchange program is open to volunteers aged 18 and over. You should be reasonably fit and healthy and prepared to take part in a physically active program undertaking conservation tasks such as planting trees, removing weeds or building trails. Prior experience is not essential as training will be given onsite, however we do require all applicants to be existing volunteers with our organisation, or to commit to volunteering on one or more of our projects before they start the exchange program. If you haven’t volunteered yet, don’t be deterred from applying – we’ll help you find projects that meet your interests, so you can meet this exchange requirement.Click here to apply
