Conservation Volunteers is a national, not-for-profit, community based organisation that is dedicated to connecting people with our environment. Each year we engage over 12,500 local and international volunteers on over 2,000 important projects that make a significant difference to our unique country and its inhabitants. By joining the Conservation Volunteers team, you will be helping us to achieve our vision of a healthy and sustainable environment for all Australians.
We are currently seeking a Coordinator, Safety and Quality, to undertake the national coordination and continual improvement of the Work Health & Safety Management System and operational quality of the organisation. This position can be based from our Melbourne, Brisbane or Ballarat offices and will report to the Manager, People and Culture. Previous knowledge and experience in the application of WHS systems in field-based work operations would be advantageous.
For success in this role, you will need:
- Practical experience in safety certification 4801 and associated audit processes, as well as experience in safety and quality management systems
- Demonstrated experience in conducting internal audits across multiple sites
- Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to coach and support staff in following and maintaining safety systems within their regions
- WHS qualification
- Full driver’s licence
