We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to supervise teams of Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) Traineeship participants as they build their skills in conservation and landmanagement on practical on-ground projects in the Townsville region. As SQW Traineeship Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safety, welfare and supervision of trainees, helping them to gain training and experience in environmental and heritage conservation fields, while participating in projects that generate real benefits for the environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in working with community groups
- Full driver’s licence (mandatory)
- Knowledge and experience in the application of WHS policies and procedures
- A sound knowledge of practical conservation activities
- Excellent people management and training skills
- Solid organisational skills including time management
Preferably, candidates should hold Senior or Level II First Aid, Defensive Driving certificate and have an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
