World Ocean Day Down Under: Inaugural launch

Volunteers and CVA staff at Nudgee Beach, Brisbane.

Thank you for an incredible launch event! 💙

Yesterday was a special day for us as our inaugural launch event for the World Ocean Day Down Under campaign took place. We’ve teamed up with The Ocean Project (World Ocean Day), making us their very first official ‘National Partner’!

We’re absolutely thrilled and filled with gratitude for the amazing turnout at the Beach Cleanup event at Nudgee Beach, QLD37 volunteers rallied, which showcased our shared commitment to bettering the environment. 🌊🌿

We picked up 20.21 kg of rubbish, a stark reminder of the critical and ongoing pollution issue that our planet faces. But, on a brighter note, it also highlighted the powerful impact we can make when we come together for a shared cause.

Your involvement in this initiative and your efforts to make a real difference are deeply appreciated. We are so grateful for your support as we continue our journey towards environmental conservation. 💙

Let’s work together to make beach cleanups a thing of the past with SeaToSource 2024! 🏝❌

Did you know that 80% of ocean plastics start from our rivers? This year, we’re tackling pollution both in our waterways and at its source: streets, parks, and industrial zones.

Our goal? Engage 1 million people against pollution. No matter where you are in Australia, you can make a difference.

Get in on the action by downloading the CVA Community App. It’s your ticket to local volunteering events, and it’s how you’ll hear first about our upcoming SeaToSource Plastic Waste Challenge launching very soon. Let’s fight pollution together!
