Join Conservation Volunteers Australia to celebrate NAIDOC Week across the country:

In Perth, Whadjuk Nyungar Elder, Marie Taylor, will initiate our event with a traditional Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, paying homage to this year’s theme, “For Our Elders”. Participate in a planting activity and savour a bush-tucker inspired breakfast.

In Victoria, spend your day at Taits Point, an ecologically and culturally rich RAMSAR wetland. Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Corp will lead a cultural education session, smoking ceremony, and welcome. Enjoy a bush tucker tasting and explore the parkland.

In Sydney, immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture at Hawthorne Reserve with Koori Kinnection’s educators. Experience a guided wetlands tour and a Bushfood tasting.

In Adelaide, engage with nature at Yundi Nature Conservancy through a cultural walk & talk with Ngarrindjeri man Mark Koolmatrie. Learn about local bush foods & medicines, and join a weeding activity for a hands-on connection with the land.
