Key Volunteers play an important role within Conservation Volunteers by helping support our organisation to deliver real conservation results by providing essential support services.
Examples of these can include:
- Office Key Volunteers – helping with general administration tasks, answering phones, sending information to prospective volunteers
- Promotional Key Volunteers – helping to promote opportunities for volunteers to get involved by setting up and staffing a display about volunteering, or giving a talk or presentation using materials that we provide
- Support Services Key Volunteers – helping with general support roles such as maintaining our tools and equipment, or helping to look after certain project locations or conservation properties
All Key Volunteer roles are attached to one of our Regional Offices and will generally require you to be able to attend the office for training, and to carry out the requirements of the Key Volunteer position.
Vacancies are advertised on this page as they become available. You can also email [email protected] and ask to be added to our waiting list – we will contact you if a Key Volunteer position becomes available. Please include details of your nearest Regional Office so we can match you to any available vacancies.
The Key Volunteers program is only available to Australian volunteers. If you are an international volunteer travelling to Australia, please see our other volunteering opportunities.
