Conservation Volunteers Australia is pleased to announce their high commendation in the 2015 Volunteering SA-NT Award for Organisational Excellence – Large Organisation.
Conservation Volunteers was recognised during the awards presentation ceremony or their great commitment to best practice in managing volunteers.
The awards are a collaboration between the Department of the Chief Minister, Northern Territory Government, and Volunteering SA-NT. The awards were developed to recognise and celebrate volunteer effort in the Northern Territory. Volunteers are individuals or groups who are no paid for their service and contribution to the community. These volunteers contribute of their own free choice and without coercion, through a not-for-profit organisation.
Conservation Volunteers Australia has been providing opportunities for volunteers within Australia to contribute to the protection and enhancing of our environment and heritage – giving personal attention to our native flora and flora – especially those species that are under threat and facing the very real possibility of extinction.
Conservation Volunteers Australia has been able to use our strength and ability to get projects up and running. Our volunteers come from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences, and together become a major force for environmental good.
We thank Volunteering SA-NT for this commendation, and in turn thank our unique and passionate volunteers who share our commitment to make a difference in the Australian environment.
